Migration Guide | Creating Tickets in the MX Support Portal

Use the customer portal to manage support requests, view ticket history, and manage team access.

Log in to the portal

Access the portal using https://support.mx.com. The portal uses email-based authentication to ensure secure access without requiring a password.

  1. Navigate to https://support.mx.com.

  2. Enter your email address in the login field.

  3. Enter the one-time code sent to your email.

  4. Select your workspace if you belong to multiple accounts.

Note: Use Custom Authentication to unify login between your dashboard and the customer portal.

View and search tickets

The main page displays your ticket history. By default, the portal shows tickets from the last year.

  • Select a ticket to view updates from your team or the support staff.

  • View all ticket fields defined in your portal settings.

  • Use the search bar to locate specific tickets.

Create tickets

  1. Go to the MX Pylon portal.

  2. Select the Create Ticket dropdown menu.

  3. Choose the appropriate ticket type:

    • Support Request

    • Account Questions

    • Rebrand Request

    • Oauth Registrations

  4. Enter your name and email address in the Name and Email fields.

  5. Enter a summary of the issue in the Subject field.

  6. Enter the full details of your request in the Description field.

  7. Select the impact level in the Priority field.

  8. Enter the User GUIDNumber of Users Impacted, and Environment Impacted to help the team investigate.

  9. Select the Create Ticket button to submit the form.

Best practices for support requests

  • Provide the specific User GUID and any additional information you have for any technical issues to ensure faster troubleshooting.

  • State clearly if the issue is occurring in a Production or Development environment.

  • Include the exact text of any error messages you receive, enclosed in quotation marks.

Manage team members

Administrators use the Members tab to control portal access and permissions.

  • Review the list of users with portal access.

  • Modify user permissions.

  • Invite new stakeholders to the portal.
